An closed event at the Cardiff Sennedd to share experiences and thoughts relating to the violence against health workers in Gaza. Sabrin shared some of her recent poetry and her thoughts on the situation.

The Centre for Foreign Languages at Bankura University hosted a A Two-Day Academic Workshop & International Discussion Forum on “Cross-Cultural Lingo of Post-Millennial Cli-Fi, Ecofiction & Nonfiction” Sabrin talked about “Double dispossession”: Palestinian ongoing struggle for decolonisation and decarbonisation.
Foragers, Palestinian Film Festival – 03/12/2023
A screening of the film Foragers as part of the Bristol Palestinian Film Festival. Foragers depicts the drama, pleasures and difficulties in collecting wild food in occupied Palestine. Israel Apartheid Conference – 04/11/2023
Sabrin was a panalist for this conference held by Amnesty International and Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Cardiff, Wales. B’Tselem, Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International have published reports documenting the reality of apartheid and the illegality of the actions of Israel. So this conference, aimed at politicians, activists and students across Wales, examined the origins and intentions of the Israeli state, set the facts irrefutably on the record and examine what needs to be done to bring freedom and justice to Palestinians. Art of Resistance – 20/10/2023
Sabrin, in conversation online with her father, Taisir Masrieh Hasbun – explored how the work of painters, designers, musicians, poets and novelists has helped not only to celebrate Palestinian life but also to resist its destruction. From the writing of Mahmoud Darwish to the rocking of 47Soul, from festive gatherings to embroidery, Palestinians have made art out of resistance and resistance out of art. Transnational Solidarity Amongst Colonised People – 04/04/2023
The University of Exeter’s Institute of Arab and Islamic studies held a two-day conference, in partnership with the Middle East Monitor, entitled ‘Transnational Solidarity Amongst (Settler) Colonised People: Palestine and Beyond’.
